Welcome to the official website of the
2017 International Conference
on  Virtual and Augmented Reality Simulations  (ICVARS 2017). The conference will be held in Sydney, Australia, during February 18-21, 2017.

The main objective of ICVARS 2017 is to present the latest research results of computer scientists and engineers related to Virtual and Augmented Reality Simulations topics.

We are very fortunate to hold ICVARS 2017 at Macquarie University, Sydney.

Macquarie University is particularly fortunate to be based in Sydney, Australia, a city of culture, commerce, technology, climate, recreation, and lifestyle, all in a scenic harbour location amongst diverse natural beauty. Macquarie University is located in Sydney's north, close to Macquarie Park, a major business area and technology park at the door steps of the Lane Cove River National Park. The campus is served by a city rail link and nearby arterial road corridors.

This location served to motivate our conference theme of Aspire, Explore, Innovate, and Inspire using VR and AR. Macquarie University is a place of pioneering minds. The university has established the world’s first Simulation Hub in 2015 integrating a Virtual Reality lab, driving simulators, a flight simulator and a motion capture lab. For more info, see:

We hope to utilise this academic expertise, highly motivated and aspiring students working with high technology, and state-of-the-art facilities of the Simulation Hub to achieve the specific objectives of this year’s theme. The ICVARS 2017 conference brings together people from multiple disciplines and a diversity of cultures to explore new ways to design, develop, and evaluate novel methods for Virtual & Augmented Reality simulations, to discuss ideas that can lead to innovations, and to inspire us all.

After a careful reviewing process, all accepted papers after proper registration and presentation, will be published in the conference Proceedings, which will be indexed by Ei & Scoups. (More details will be given)
